Andrew brings 45 years of professional experience, including 35 years in senior management roles within local and state government agencies. Andrew has worked in Australia, New Zealand, USA, UK, Canada and South Africa in project work, training and development of senior management staff in asset management. Andrew is a certified Fellow with the Asset Management Council of Australia, and a Certifier for engineers and managers wishing to undertake the AM certification program. Andrew is a member of the AMC Leadership AMBOK Team, and facilitates the Asset Management Fundamentals Course. Andrew originated from an operational and maintenance background as an Executive Manager Facilities Management and Works Manager in local government. Andrew has held a variety of major asset management roles, and has led the development and implementation of knowledge management tools, and strategic asset class plans for public agencies with large and diverse asset portfolios. He has assisted a number of government agencies with asset management, maturity assessments and improvement plans
Andrew is a Certified Fellow of the Asset Management Council of Australia. He specialises in assisting organisations through business process transformation, developing Asset Management Systems and Frameworks, providing advice to asset owners and managers in relation to ISO55000 and Asset Management Accountability Frameworks (AMAF) . Andrew has over 35 years of experience working with organisations in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and South Africa, .
Andrew was the former manager of asset management with the Gold Coast City Council, and the Strategic Asset Advisor to the Brisbane City Council. He has been employed by the Institute of Municipal Engineering South Africa as a mentor in AM.
Andrew previously spent sixteen years with GHD Australia as a management consultant. He has been a member and Chapter Chair of the Asset Management Council of Australia for over 10 years, a Certified Fellow and lecturer for the Asset Management Council and certifier for the certification program.
Andrew has a deep understanding of the issues facing organisations in managing "big data" and the processes required in building the frameworks and systems to handle the increasing complexity and need to understand the true consumption of assets.
