Jamie leads Devbase Group’s advisory business. As a seasoned executive manager and board advisor, Jamie has more than 25 years experience across energy production, transmission, technology, engineering, project construction and technical services businesses. Jamie brings prior experience working in both senior executive and management advisory engagements for clients in the Engineering, Construction, Electricity, Oil and Gas sectors (including Monadelphous Group, Shell QCLNG, APA Group, Powerlink, DRA and Thiess Mining)
Jamie is an accomplished executive management professional, with 25 years experience built across series of appointments in heavy industry, managing large multidisciplinary workforces in complex technical environments. Jamie has held senior management functional responsibility for engineering , project delivery, field maintenance, asset management, operations, business strategy development, commercial operations and service contracting. Jamie has held numerous executive appointments in both owner and contractor environments.
Jamie currently heads up the Corporate Advisory & Resourcing business for Devbase Group, leading a national team of c. 25 industry specialists in Energy and Resources management , project development, business process and governance. Jamie works directly with executive teams with key clients across the Gas , Resources and Electricity sectors in developing major projects and business and operational capability.
In his prior role as CEO of iPipe Services , Jamie led the business restructure and subsequent sale of the pipeline & industrial services business which supplied expertise to major Gas Exploration and Production operators for the Queensland Coal Seam Gas (CSG) and pipeline industries.
In a national role with APA Group, Jamie headed up the Group's National Gas Integrated Operations Centre, with accountability for the physical and commercial management of gas movements across APA’s 15,000km national gas transmission pipeline grid.
During the establishment of the Queensland CSG & Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) industry, Jamie held pivotal leadership roles with multinational oil and gas producer BG-Group, overseeing the Integrated Startup, Commissioning and Operations of world's first CSG to LNG upstream gas processing and common infrastructure facilities on the Queensland Curtis LNG project.
Jamie's early career spanned a range of GM roles encompassing infrastructure projects, maintenance services, asset management, IT service delivery, operations and technology development. Key positions held included GM Network Operations , GM Asset Monitoring and Maintenance Services for Powerlink Queensland's $8b state-wide High Voltage electricity transmission network assets.
Jamie is a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders ANZ and Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. As a Registered Professional Engineer (RPEQ), Jamie holds Bachelor and Masters degree qualifications in engineering and retains professional memberships to the Institute of Engineers Australia and Society of Petroleum Engineers.
