Our client, a national ASX Listed Energy Provider retained Devbase for their domain experience in Electricity Transmission Operation Technologies to establish the Energy Management System requirements for a 300-500kV Network . These requirements would underpin the procurement process for an Advanced Energy Management System product to be configured for both SCADA, Simulation and Real time Modelling of the Transmission network
Devbase stood up a team of specialists in disciplines of OT Project Management, Network Control Room Operation, Control Room Management, Power System Planning, Power System Protection and Control, Power System Harmonics, Power System Operations. The team would establish and execute a scope which saw the production of a suite of requirements documentation, which would underpin a functional specification used in procurement.
Our team of Transmission Network Operations experts reviewed the Clients existing documentation which was predominantly developed for Operation of Hydrocarbons Infrastructure. Where possible our team uplifted and adapted this material and subsequently developed out a host of functional requirements and aligned these to the Client’s own technical standards:

Our Principal Consultant was engaged by the Client’s owner team on the governance board for the project to provide technical assurance and support to the client IT and Procurement departments throughout the Tender process. This engagement led to a productive procurement process whereby technical challenges posed by the Vendors were responded to efficiently and clear articulation of risks were provided to the Client’s management team
Our client was equipped with materials which were well received by Vendors in the initial Expression of Interest and subsequent Commercial Tendering processes. Devbase were further sought to form membership of the Client’s tender evaluation team and subsequent implementation acknowledging our team experience in numerous EMS implementation projects across a number of utilities.
