Our metallurgical coal mine client has embarked on a ground breaking pilot that has the potential to significantly reduce normally occurring fugitive methane emissions. The client through its partners has identified a new technology that has the potential to significantly reduce capital requirements and increase emissions recovery.
The Solution
Our Executive Advisor facilitated the concept engineering effort to integrate the new adapted drilling technology into existing mining operations. A precursor to the operational integration was the identification of further engineering definition on the proposed solution covering:
- Subsurface coal seam description
- Drilling and completion challenges
- Surface facilities configuration
- Operational integration of gas into mining operations
