The Challenge
Our National Energy Client is undergoing a profound change in evolving from a gas transmission-based infrastructure company to expanding into Gas Pipeline and Power Asset operations through successive acquisitions. The challenge, post-acquisition, is to integrate the new entity seamlessly into the client’s systems and operations as well as onboard new employees into the client’s business culture.
The Solution
Our Executive Advisors were engaged to review and uplift the client’s asset integration process including capturing best practice. Devbase’s Advisors first undertook a review of the integration scope using their experience and an industry developed assurance tool. The review identified that the client concentrated mostly on technical areas that the integration team were familiar with but spend less time on technical or organisational matters that, at the time of integration, were not urgent. The result was an unbalanced integration approach leading to potential operational and organisational risks at a later stage. Devbase’s Executive Advisors provided structured guidance on documentation and approaches to make the integration more holistic and integrated from a financial, operational and organisational perspective to ensure a smooth transition of the acquired assets into the client’s growing HV fleet.
